In order to comply with government advice to limit the numbers attending social gatherings Swansea and Margam Crematoria have introduced certain restrictions regarding the number of people attending funerals.
I have summarised below, the statements from both Crematoria. If you have any questions or if you need some advice please call, email.or check our website
As of Monday (23rd) each funeral must be limited to no more than ten people attending. This is predominantly to avoid unnecessary physical contact between mourners, clergy and cemeteries / crematorium employees who all need to remain as healthy as possible to continue supporting the wider community during this unprecedented period The Council suggest that consideration be given to organising a celebration of life or memorial service for their loved one at a later date to be attended by all family / friends etc.”

We would ask that those attending a cremation are restricted to family members only. Additionally, that they space themselves around the chapel seating.
The Federation of Burial and Cremation Authority (FBCA), define close family as
• Children (and partners)
Families are asked to space themselves throughout the chapel, limiting each pew to 4 family members and using every other pew in order to observe social distancing.
